Robertson Lodges announce the imminent opening of The Residences at Kauri Cliffs, three private residences ideal for families, couples or friends travelling together, as well as special celebrations. With the first residence now unveiled prior to the November 2019 opening, these stylishly furnished Residences offer a truly memory-making experience compiling the very best in accommodation, fresh farm to table cuisine, and unique New Zealand activities on the stunning property.
Similar to the Owner’s Cottages, The Residences at Kauri Cliffs have been developed with owner Julian Robertson’s children and their families in mind. While they are used personally by the Robertson family when visiting the lodge, both the Owner’s Cottage and now The Residences at Kauri Cliffs are otherwise available for guest stays.
Inside the four-bedroom accommodations, each of the three residences exudes its own individual style, with warm décors by acclaimed New Zealand interior designer Virginia Fisher that perfectly blend with the surrounding green hills and blue sea of Northland. The spacious lounge and living areas are perfectly designed for guests to gather and relax, as is the family-sized kitchen complete with a casual dining island and a butler’s pantry for exclusive chef service. Each residence features an expansive veranda that flows to a 25-foot saltwater pool and surrounding deck.
“The Residences were created by demand as New Zealand’s reputation as a destination people want to share with their families continues to grow,” says CEO Jay Robertson. “As a father myself, I’m thrilled for The Residences to become the premier’ home away from home' for families wishing to discover the magic of Kauri Cliffs and Northland. Our family is truly delighted with the first newly unveiled residence. The Residences maintain that same sense of timeless classic style that my late mother Josie created, in collaboration with Virginia Fisher, when Kauri Cliffs first opened", Robertson added.
The interiors are light and airy and layered with the thoughtful edit of interesting design touches that lodge guests have come to love about Kauri Cliffs, as well as at sister lodges The Farm at Cape Kidnappers and Matakauri Lodge.
All four guest bedrooms offer spacious beds and wardrobes, private bathrooms and direct access to verandas, laid out in the style of a well-appointed private home. From the master bedroom, guests enjoy breathtaking views of the picturesque farmland, award-winning golf course and the Pacific Ocean. Residences are refreshed by housekeeping twice daily, maintaining the same sparkling presentation as when guests arrive and allowing more time to simply relax and enjoy their surrounds.
Guests can chose to walk or take their private golf cart to the main lodge just a short drive away to enjoy the resort’s activities to the fullest, with access to the tennis courts, walking trails, private beaches and the fitness center. Adventure seeking guests might take part in onsite activities such as surfing on their private surf break, exploring the lodge’s three private beaches, discovering the stunning coastal property by ATV and fishing with a local guide.
Lodge guests are encouraged to design their visit to suit their own personal needs, knowing the lodge team is there to help make memories by making dreams come true. Included in stays is a full daily breakfast, lunch, pre-dinner drinks, canapes, dinner and a generously stocked mini bar with New Zealand wine, beer and select spirits. Walking trails, three private beaches and an award-winning golf course are available on property, as well as a fitness centre complete with an indoor heated lap pool, jacuzzi and sauna.
